Salary, depending on experience, in the NJC Range 5 to 7 (£10.04 – 10.44 per hour)

he Town Council is seeking to recruit an Administration Officer to join our team. We are looking for a reliable person to help with general administration tasks and day-to-day management of the council's services. You will also be required to support the Town Clerk and the Deputy Clerk with their day-to-day duties.
The successful applicant will be required to work in partnership with other statutory bodies and the public to ensure that the Town Council is delivering excellence. Working 30 hours per week, the ideal candidate would be a friendly, positive team player who is also able to work independently with exceptional customer service skills. A professional telephone and email manner is essential together with interpersonal skills. You will have excellent IT Knowledge working with Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous experience working within a government authority is not necessary but would be beneficial as well as local knowledge.
A willingness to work towards the ILCA (Introduction to Local Council Administration) professional qualification is desirable and a full UK driving licence is preferred. The role may include include some evening meetings and occasional weekend work.
