Lutterworth East - Update
Following on from the decision by Harborough District Council to grant planning permission for the proposed Lutterworth East development, Lutterworth Town Council considered it's position. It was the view of the Council that the planning decision failed to take account of local views, failed to take account of expert opinion, and contravened various aspects of the Harborough District Local Plan 2011 - 2031. As a result, the decision was taken in the last week of September 2020 to make an application to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government to use his powers to "call-in" the decision for central consideration. Our case is being considered by the government's Planning Casework Unit, and as soon as we are made aware of any response we will let residents know. In the meantime, a copy of the document requesting that the application is "called-in" is below.
