Lutterworth Christmas Lights Switch On 2017

We couldn't have asked for better weather to hold this year's Christmas Lights Switch-On event. It was a gloriously sunny and sharp winter's day and we were overwhelmed by the sheer number of you who came out to enjoy the festivities.

The Christmas Market stalls were relocated to various locations throughout the Town centre and they opened up proceedings at 3.30pm.

Town Council Grants

The Town Council have awarded Cross Counties Radio a grant of £500. The grant was used to pay for two laptops which will be used at the Sir Frank Whittle School where the radio station is located. Any Lutterworth community group can apply for funding. Please contact the Town Council for further information

The residents and businesses of Lutterworth did not fail to impress again this year as nomination forms for the 2017 Lutterworth in Bloom competition came in thick and fast. With over 20 nominated gardens, containers and allotments to view, the judges really had their work cut out viewing each and every one in detail. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to the Picnic in the Park yesterday. The weather was kind to us which meant members of the public flocked to the recreation ground in their 100's, armed with their picnics to take part in the fun. Also, thank you to all the acts that performed, to the stall holders who attended and the volunteers who helped make the event run so smoothly. Without you, it would not have been possible!!! ADVANCE NOTICE OF A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location:
Moorbarns Lane, Lutterworth (see attached plan). The purpose of the TTRO is to facilitate
Leicestershire Highways to undertake carriageway resurfacing and associated civil
engineering works.
The TTRO will incorporate a temporary night time road closure between the hours of 20:00
and 06:00.
The duration of the TTRO is for a period not exceeding 3 months commencing on the 31st
